I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California; License #PSY25494. I have a Doctor of Psychology degree from George Washington University, Washington, DC. I have extensive experience working with a diverse population in the capacity of an Assistant Professor and Staff Psychologist at different University Counseling Centers and in the capacity of a Psychologist, Individual/Couples Counselor in private practice settings in the US over the last 20 years.

I specialize in counseling couples and individuals struggling with relationships, college students, careers professionals, immigrants/minorities and families dealing with a variety of personal, interpersonal, academic and career concerns. My personal and professional journey lends to a natural empathy, warmth and a deep reverence for the diversity of human experiences! I incorporate mindfulness principles and insights from latest neuroscientific research to help people overcome their pain and personal challenges and to find hope and healing.

I am a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist and have extensive experience in Imago Relationship Therapy approach that blends insights about brain science with psychology and spirituality in a way that deepens connection and rekindles love and intimacy in romantic/marital relationships. I have also completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT), a highly successful couples therapy approach validated by over 25 years of empirical research findings that show 75% of couples moving from distress to recovery and approximately 90% showing significant improvements.

Additionally, I have an extensive background working with South-East Asian, Hispanic, Middle-Eastern and other ethnic/cultural minorities. My Asian-Indian background as well as personal and professional experiences with acculturation help me relate with the unique intergenerational challenges experienced by immigrant parents and their first generation adolescent children. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.

I also have substantial experience providing counseling to college students, young and mid-level career professionals to help address a varied range of personal, academic and career goals that lead to increased wellbeing, enhanced performance and self-growth.
